I don't know if anyone will see this, Uber has an option where you can put in the phone number of a contact of yours and they will be alerted of your Uber ride. If they have the Uber app they will not need to do anything. They will be able to see who your driver is, how long the ride is and track the live drive. It made me feel 98% safer the first time I used it (had 2 friends' numbers and 2 siblings' numbers; my friends texted me during my car drive)! I was a wreck and my driver was really nice. I left him a huge tip. I felt awful for getting lost. My other Uber rides have since been smooth sailings.
