All of the anime and anime inspired media that have an abundance of androgynous and traditionally feminine looking characters. It’s disingenuous to pretend that isn’t common in anime, even shonen.

I’m not the anon who implied ALL anime men look like women, and I don’t believe that anyways. But ignoring the precedent for male characters to not be traditionally masculine by societal standards is what makes your argument look spotty. And giving a ‘No YOU don’t watch much anime’, and then deflecting the question of counter arguments instead of giving your own doesn’t suggest you’re acting in good faith.

Has every anime you've watched had exclusively female-looking men? Never any more masculine leaning men? So... no Shonen. Nothing Seinen. Anything prior to mid-2000's is off limits? Come on.

I'd like to clarify 'female-looking' with instead 'female passing'. All of the Genshin guys could easily pass as women. Also for the record I'm not shitting on Genshin's designs. I LIKE that they all look like women.

...wait, are you crazy lol in what way did Kurama look like a guy any more than any Genshin character? Indeed, Genshin characters are no Sakura Ogami but they're no Bridget either. Some are "muscle-men" as I put in a Kamina way.

They being hyperbolic, but they’re not wrong that anime is full of male characters that look female-passing, Kurama definitely included because what’s wrong with your vision to say otherwise. Not literally all male characters look like women, but it’s a common observation that it happens a lot, and anime inspired franchise like Genshin are perfect examples of the aesthetic.

And I’m not being serious about the Kurama thing btw. If he looks male to you or anyone else, that’s not wrong. It’s just that he does have the qualities of female-passing anime characters AYRT is talking about as well. He can still look at least a little feminine while also looking like a man. His personality 100% cool and badass, so it’s honestly fine by me that he doesn’t look hypermasculine. It’s a very anime trope that characters can still be kickass even if they have no visible muscle mass. And I like that for male characters just as much as I like when female characters do have visible muscles.
