Neverwhere! I love that show. I watched it way back when and a bunch of times since.

I hope Rivers of London gets a tv show at some point, it's in the same vein.

If only the main characters in Rivers of London were cops. I'm kinda done with copaganda shows right now, you know.

(Anonymous) 2022-11-11 01:17 am (UTC)(link)
*weren't cops, I mean.

(Anonymous) 2022-11-11 01:18 am (UTC)(link)
Meh, or miss it. Doesn't bother anyone if you watch a hypothetical show or not.

I'm not sure non-US copper shows really count as copaganda, but each to their own.

Eh? Why would that make any difference?

If you don't think the Met Police are every bit as abusive and corrupt as the American versions, just because they don't routinely carry guns, then I don't know where to start with explaining the sheer breadth and depth of your misconception.

Vincent! <3

(Anonymous) 2022-11-11 06:29 am (UTC)(link)
Vincent! And thus begun my Ron Perlman one woman fan club.

(Anonymous) 2022-11-11 01:06 am (UTC)(link)
Ahhh Vincent, the root of all my monsterfucking fetishes.

(Anonymous) 2022-11-11 01:18 am (UTC)(link)
I have fond memories of that version of Beauty and the Beast. Both my mom and I adored Vincent, he was and still is very popular with women.

I love Neverwhere and B&tB! Also Mirrormask! <3

(Anonymous) 2022-11-11 01:27 am (UTC)(link)
Ooh yes, I love Mirrormask too.

(Anonymous) 2022-11-11 07:09 am (UTC)(link)
Oh my god, MirrorMask. I have to go dig that up now.

(Anonymous) 2022-11-11 04:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Mirrormask! One of my favorite movies! I should watch it again, it's been so many years.

Loved loved loved Beauty and the Beast - SO GOOD.
I didn't know they made a series of Neverwhere, I'll have to find it.
I really enjoy this genre, too!

1990s Neverwhere has Paterson Joseph in a swirly coat and Peter Capaldi in a surprising role, so is well worth a look.

(Anonymous) 2022-11-11 01:39 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, man, I loved Beauty & the Beast! I didn’t know about these others shows, so thanks, everyone! I have new things to add to my watchlist.

(Anonymous) 2022-11-11 05:53 am (UTC)(link)
I've never heard of Nevermore, but now I want to watch it!

Also, I don't know where to find that version of beauty and the beast, but I love the premise (esp. because I was always mad they made the beast into a human by the end).

I love Beauty and the Beast! The only good show GRRM was involved so far.

The reboot was so unnecessary.

I LOVE the 80s "Beauty and the Beast." I even bought the soundtrack (which, being filled with poetry that I knew cold -- most of which I could probably *still* recite -- got me accused of cheating on a test in high school)
