I am subscribed to this person on socials, they are really interesting and smart. Also they are in one of my fandoms and write fics for it. This fics on paper sound like my perfect fics: lengthy and with a good historical background. Aaaand I don't like them. I think this author doesn't like or understand canon so for me this fics are unreadable. It is so hard to find longfic *sighs*

Aww, that is just too bad. I have had the same thing happen: find a longfic, *seems* like it's gonna be great, start reading....and it's just not.

Yes! Exactly. Frustrating every time.
This longfic looks so good and it isn't badly written. Just I am too into lore to enjoy it. Damn
