NAYRT - IA with this. But as a non-American (possibly POC by some American standards) I also get what AYRT was talking about. The English-speaking internet is vastly populated by American people and sometimes it feels like they default to their own local views of racism and everyone who doesn't get them is Wrong and Bad and should be Cancelled even if they are willing to discuss and LEARN. So that's not making progress for anyone. That actively hurts people (like the 1st anon itt) including (or rather, particularly) non-whites who suffer racial discrimination.

Obviously that is not everyone in the US thankfully and obviously there are racist (not even "accidentally" racist - blatantly.) people elsewhere. It's usually the fandom kids who don't know better yet, but it can get pretty ugly and self-righteous.
