r/asoiaf and especially r/pureasoiaf are still full of main series discussions every day. I don't know where you fandom, if it's Twitter or Tumblr then it's up to you to curate what you "put up with".

I'm talking about fanfic and I don't do reddit, or whatever the fuck you're talking about. fanfiction.net's Asoiaf page is flooded with HoTD fic and there's no option to filter them out. Don't get me started on the assholes who don't tag on AO3--thank god there aren't many of those. Then there's the forums where HoTD fans won't shut the fuck up about it.

Okay but seriously, is your fanfic game so weak that you just browse the main page in hopes of finding what you want? Instead of, idk, calibrating your searches using the tools available to you like a sane reader? I promise you that it's possible to do this even on FFN. The two series have completely unrelated casts of characters, I couldn't mix up the fics if I tried, with the exception of the oddball crossover.

You’re the problem here. Have some self-awareness. The saying goes “ If you run into an asshole in the morning, you ran into an asshole. If you run into assholes all day, you're the asshole” for a reason. This isn’t a group of HoTD fans being jerks to you for no reason. Some people here may not even be fans of the show. This was you acting rude and antagonistic from out of the gate, and people reacting to your attitude.
