They would have a little more security in their home life, as would Mrs B, since a brother would be expected to provide a little better than Mr Collins (although, he isn't as bad as he's often made out. The guy is a twit, not a heartless monster), and if Mr B survived into his sixties then the son would be in his twenties and they'd be legally entitled to petition to break the entaillment (and presumably Darcy's lawyers would help) so that could provide for any unmarried sisters in their old age as well as breaking the chain around any future family's neck. It isn't a great sich, but it is better than where they were at the start. There would be a period of hope in the family.

But here's the thing, Mr B's estate provided for a family of 7 but not well enough that they could save anything for the Bennet sister's doweries. I don't see why we'd assume that it'd be able to support the same people and also the son's family. It's like skipping on retirement savings but having a kid specifically to support you in your old age. It's not actually a great plan. They should have been saving for dowries for each girl from their birth instead of leaving it to some future son to figure out.

The entailment means he can't borrow against the estate to fund improvements and investments for it. That is the the rub of it. With an adult son, the novel tells us, he could petition to end the entailment and borrow to provide funds for improvements and investments. It is never gonna propel him to Pemberley levels of wealth and security, but it could boost income if he did. With the entailment, he cannot invest in the estate; nor, lets be frank and a bit meta-textual, was there much incentive for him to do so, since it was all going to fall to Collins anyway. A son changes everything.
