I mean. The couple of cons I went to were fun (mostly just Dragoncon 3 times). But dog or cat parties would be much more fun. Pretty much the most fun thing in the entire world.

I’ve discovered that for me most of the appeal of cons is going there with friends and family and/or meeting up with people there. I’ve tried going by myself and found it depressing. One I took off work stood in line for a ticket and ended up leaving after an hour. I had never heard of a beagle party but apparently there are adorable dogs there so I’m in.

I'm super amused at the yay puppies reaction and not the...a party full of beagles would be nearly as loud as a convention reaction. beagles are loud. all the baying. get five of them together and it would be 100x as loud.

and the joke is, that's still preferable to a con. I get you. if I wasn't a cosplayer I'd agree.

My neighbours had two beagles and I was oh no, going to be loud, and she was but the noises were so adorable I didn't care. A WOO WOO WOO OOOH WOOO!

Also the general chaos. Beagles are very smart and very mischievous. My old housemate's beagle loved to go running off into the woods and explore to her heart's content. She knew she was too cute to stay mad at.
