But, didn’t you know? ~Everything~ revolves around K-pop, specifically BTS. It’s the main scientific discovery since Galileo discovered that we revolve around the sun, not the other way round. We’ve only just discovered that the sun it’s a burning ball of gas, but 7 Korean dudes who can barely hold a tune together.

It’s revolutionary science, y’all!

I think you’re mistaken. Galileo actually discovered that we revolve around the sun because of BTS. They gave him a message through time to set science on the right path, as told by The Prophecy of Bangtan.

(Also, I do like the group, so I kind of resent the “can’t hold a tune” part a bit. But to each their own. I have no problem with anyone making fun of the ARMY and their BTSxceptionalism though.)

I have not been able to read the current literature, so thank you for the update!

(The ‘carry a tune together’ but was more a commentary on how lacking I find their harmonies as a group than a commentary on their singing abilities. I have a fandom background in frou-frou male acapella stuff, and when I first listened to BTS, I was disappointed that they didn’t really do anything of that fluff. I still think they’re talented, just not my thing.)

Reconsidering it, I realise how harsh the original comment and the following comment was. Sorry for that. It’s wrong for me to completely dismiss a group just because they don’t style their harmonies a certain way.

Though I understand that it does happen in K-pop, especially with BTS, the centralism happens in so many fandoms and you really just want to say “Hey, calm down. It’s not as sinister as you think, nor is it a problem only affecting the thing you’re interested in. Bunny person isn’t the centre of the universe, ya know?”
