Considering that Taylor Swift has broken just about every industry record there is and taken the unprecedented step of rerecording her own music so she, a young woman can have ownership of her work in a way most old male artists haven't, ends up being the one to take down ticketmaster, my feminist ass will be happy to give her the credit.

Sorry she offends you by being white.

I mean, I won't be surprised when The Kween herself just starts selling her own damn tickets from her own damn website.

/shrug

And that's bad because...?

Taylor Swift being proactive in her own business dealings is a step in the right direction for all artists, particularly female and/or younger ones. The music industry usually chews up those categories and spits them out. Now a young woman comes out with "I can make astounding amounts of money without any help from the establishment", undermining said establishment in epic ways? This could change the entire industry, with far more equitable results for the creators.

DA

I have little idea of who Taylor Swift is (what is it with modern American entertainers and stage names that don't even indicate their gender?) but I know something about what Ticketmaster is. And on those grounds alone, this sounds about right to me.

jsyk Taylor Swift is her actual name, it's not a stage name.

a simple google search would've shown you that taylor is a female artist and that taylor swift is her birth name, not a stage name.
