Advice sought.

(Anonymous) 2022-11-27 04:52 am (UTC)(link)
If something was bothering you and you know that a wrong was committed against you but you had no physical proof, would you still go to the police/FBI? What could a person do?

Re: Advice sought.

(Anonymous) 2022-11-27 06:47 am (UTC)(link)
No. Stop snitchin'.

OP
So...something wrong was done to me and you think I would be snitching? That isn't a logical comment.

You have no proof of wrongdoing and no one to back you up and you want to involve the fbi? Yeah, snitch or crackpot, definitely.

Re: Advice sought.

(Anonymous) 2022-11-27 09:48 pm (UTC)(link)
It involves people filming and recording me through the computer's camera and microphone and then showing footage to people w/o my consent.

Fuck your snitch and crackpot usage.

The FBI don't care that someone left a negative review on your slashfic, trust me.

It isn't about slashfic, dumb ass.

No physical proof: If you go to the authorities, chances are there is nothing they can do. They will take your claim seriously (at least they SHOULD). Listen to you and take notes. Likely will bring in the person(s) of interest to question them about what is being accused of them (of course when they are called up by police they will just be told a generic/vague reason as to why a police officer would want to talk to them). Most times, especially when there is no evidence, just a person's word, nothing happens because the person of interest will likely lie about what they are being questioned about. Deny accountability and then the cops will just have to let them go.

Pros: your experience will be taken down on record somewhere, there is a possibility the person(s) who did harm to do will out themselves and their crime(s) to the police when they are called in for questioning and it can lead to them being charged for the crime

Cons: extremely high possibility nothing will happen outside of you being traumatized from having to relive what happened to you by talking to police about it extensively, if something does happen chances are it will take a LONG time to get the whole process of justice going and even then if there is a charge the chances of it going to court and/or the court ruling to go in your favor is slim AF (is the risk worth the possible long ride of getting the authorities involved?), those who you are accusing of wrongdoing will know that you know what they did and that you want them to be held accountable and IDK if that is a risk worth taking if you know that there is a chance that going to the authorities and being made public on some level

I'm really sorry what happened to you, no matter what it is. Something involving authorities can go so many ways. It depends on so many factors that one can't control or predict what will happen once the authorities get involved.
My advice is talk to someone you trust about what happened and seek for their advice. You don't have to take it, but it would likely help to have someone to talk to about what happened and talk through a possible plan of action.
Having support and a safe space will do so much good in terms of your mental and emotional health. Something as serious as a wrong done to you that you are thinking of going to the authorities is a lot of work and can bring on a lot of stress and anxieties, what matters most is that you don't feel alone in carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders.
Do what you feel is best for you. I'm sorry if this is really discouraging, but the law doesn't work to help the victim and we have to mindful of that. I am wishing all the best for you, no matter what you decide to do. <3

This is a good response and I second all of it.

Two of the other responses are either trolls or just assholes, and I'm sorry they decided to make nuisances of themselves in your direction, OP.

You seem to really want to get some random Best Buy employees shot by the cops. Stop encouraging this person.

Go get burned to death, game show troll.

It involves people filming and recording me through the computer's camera and microphone and then showing footage to people- celebrities- during a secret game show without anyone's consent. It involved a covert group called Electronic Foundation out in Los Angeles and where I live. I can't physically prove it because I never filmed all the videos they showed me and the messages they left. It is a major privacy rights issue and they do it without your knowledge and permission. They make sure you cannot find them or prove anything; you don't know what is happening until it is over and done with.
I think the actors are real lemmings for going along with this shit and potentially hurting the contestants mental health.

What, exactly, is the point of a top-secret game show that no one except you, a covert group of people who hacked your personal computer, and some as-yet unnamed celebrities has ever heard of? How does it benefit anyone to have a secret game show with one unconsenting contestant and no audience? Why would anyone go to the effort of hacking your computer and microphone to film you at your house without your consent, involve some celebrities, and then... sit on the footage for at least a year?

You need to talk to someone who is not a law enforcement official and not a bunch of internet strangers about this.

There was an audience but they were hidden in the dark or dimly lit area. This was shown to me in videos they placed on the right hand side of YouTube when I was signed into my account in Feb. 2021.
There was another contestant- a male- during my turn up at bat on this "show". There have been plenty of other contestants.
It doesn't benefit anyone to have their privacy destroyed.
I don't know how long they were sitting on footage. I just know it couldn't have been filmed during COVID lockdown. People were sitting close together, there was no social distancing and no one wearing masks. These videos were shown to me in Feb. 2021, this is why I think it was done a while before or just before COVID.

They literally showed me a brief video clip of Glenn Howerton with the game show host and then they said the alias that they gave me. (This alias was repeated throughout 2020-2021. Some douche-nozzle dudebro came up to me on public transportation in Oct. 2020 and said it to me. It consisted of two phrases you wouldn't normally join together: a name and a phrase. If it was a deep fake, it was the most superior deep fake that ever existed- but I'm telling you, it was no deep fake.

Please quit insinuating I need to see a psychiatrist. You need to shut the hell up with that crap. Troubled people can still see real things happening. You are most likely one of the trolls that still has access to my internet and is trying to stop me from spilling all the beans.

*if the video was a deep fake, etc.

You have to find these anarchists and ask them what exactly is the point of their top-secret game show. I believe it's to humiliate people they believe need humiliation. It's a personal vendetta if they choose you to be a contestant.

A normal person who thinks a wrong has been done to them but has nothing to back that up would not go to the cops or the FBI. If anyone is telling you to make a baseless nuisance report to the FBI, they wish you harm.
