It's possible to have internalized bigotry/hatred of any kind (see discussion of a certain famous idiot in the GC). Though in Stewart's case, I'm not entirely sure that's what it is.

I do think there is something of a difference between jokes and dipshits like Kanye, though I don’t think jokes like this are necessary in 2022.

I don't think there are "sacred cows" in comedy either. But I also think that as a comedian, a person can't punch down and then cry about cancel culture. Either they know what they're doing and are deliberately being a dick for reasons, or they haven't learned to not suck at comedy. Ignorance as an excuse only goes so far.
