Re: Kanye West
(Anonymous) 2022-12-03 08:44 pm (UTC)(link)The illness doesn't excuse anything he's said and done in recent times, but seriously, bipolar disorder makes you think and do stuff that don't always align with your "true self". I wonder if that's what's happening to Kanye.
So, yeah... reading some comments about him is kind of... interesting... makes you kind of understand that people still have no idea what psychosis and delusions are. I'm not saying that's a bad thing. People not being aware of what those symptoms are are fucking lucky, trust me.
I've had manic episodes that terrified me and completely changed me as a person. I'm scared everyday that something like that could happen again. Almost completely losing your mind. Like nothing. Because ???? YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW. Not funny lol.
I kind of hope that Kanye never fully regain his sanity FOR HIS OWN SAKE. Coming down a manic (?) episode like that where he basically burnt everything around himself could potentially end him.

(Anonymous) 2022-12-03 08:48 pm (UTC)(link)BTW I don't have many positive thoughts about Kanye. so I'm not excusing him.
I think that he acting like this actually hurts the public image of people with bipolar disorder because he's one of the most famous people to have that diagnosis. And he's just a mess, even if a lot of the awful stuff he's done are not directly liked to his BP.
