Well I remembered to tag some of my posts (although some are friends only):

but those are all pretty crazy-rant-oriented (warning: I have a flair for the melodramatic).

So I will just say that his style is very much "tries too hard" and I personally find him arrogant as well as only half as talented as everyone seems to believe he is. But things like "doucheB" and "poser" are very much personal opinions, so there's really no way I am going to be able to show you something you don't believe. It's like trying to explain to a Gokey fan why maybe pimping out your dead wife for votes is not a classy move. They just don't believe you, because they think he is a genuinely nice and sincere person with talent... also I am pretty sure they are tone deaf, so that doesn't help. ;D

But seriously, I'm happy for the Lambert fans that they're probably going to get what they want. For the rest of us, I am covering myself in ashes and gnashing my teeth.

Okay, since you linked me to your journal, I'm going to comment on something I saw there. I will not comment on all the remarks made about Adam because I would be here all day defending the guy, but something you posted inspired me to say something!!

Ways in which Lamebert and Gokey are the SAME PERSON:

1. Both are pretentious douchebags that think they are the shit
2. Both are pimped heavily by the show, for basically no discernible reason, and it's annoying as fuck.
3. Both have made it to the top 4 without actual talent
4. Both have fans despite there being NO LOGICAL REASON FOR THIS
5. Both inspire manic hatred from ME
6. Both are lucky as fuck that there is virtually NO TALENT in this competition, thus allowing them undeserved fame
7. Both have unfortunate fashion choices and try WAY TOO HARD. WAY TOO HARD. I CANNOT SAY IT ENOUGH. BOTH TRY WAY. TOO. HARD. PLEASE. STOP.

1. I agree that Danny is a total douche who has WAY too big of an ego to match his way TOO SMALL amount of talent. But Adam is extremely humble and has never once acted like he's better than anyone else. If you watch the show, he thanks every single one of the judges after they critique him, he thanks the band, he thanks whoever helped him with the arrangement, etc. He has nothing but good to say about all the other contestants and still is shocked that he's made it this far. He's very sweet and humble and genuine. Unlike disgusting Gokey, who was smiling during Allison's goodbye performance this week.

2. I do agree that they're both pimped out by the show. With Danny, it makes ABSOLUTELY no sense, because he's about as talented as a tree stump. Plus, his whole "Hey guys, vote for me. My wife died." schtick is completely disgusting!! But with Adam, he gets alot of attention because he's so different. He changes it up every week and constantly gets people excited about the show!! So naturally, people are gonna talk about him!

3. This is the main thing I disagree with. While Danny has zero talent and sounded like some kind of animal dying this week, Adam is an extremely talented vocalist. I don't see how anyone can't understand this. My 60-year-old grandmother understands this. He's got an incredible voice and knows how to put on a show and make it exciting.

4. Adam has fans because of every reason I stated above. He's an incredible singer, he's funny and sweet, and gets everyone excited every week to see what he's going to do next.

And speaking of your comment on his fashion sense, the boy KNOWS how to dress and he dresses appropriately for whatever he's singing and the general feel of the theme.

/rant. Sorry, but I have mad love for the guy and will do whatever it takes to stand up for him and prove to people that he's not this horrible person that people make him out to be.

I totally read your whole thing and I disagree but I just don't see what good it will do to write an essay about it, so unless you seriously want one, I'll pass. BUT, I do want to say that I don't see how your 60-year-old grandmother's opinion is proof of anything - hearing goes with age.

Also, I don't get why you need to prove anything to me. Arg, I am getting tempted to list reasons why I disagree, so I'll just stop. STOP, SELF, STOP IT. XD
