You know, I thought I'd watched all of this series but this doesn't sound familiar at all. If it helps, I'm not sure I'd like it, either. It just feels a little like it's trying too hard for some narrative justice when I know there was very little of it in real life.

...is it his first three wives or is it the mothers of his children? like the point wasn't that he was meeting his wives who he killed directly or indirectly, the point was that he was meeting the people who allowed him a legacy at all, which would exclude catherine howard.

I actually don't like it either, but it's clearly supposed to be a link between Henry and the characters of the next three rulers of England through their mothers.

Sounds like weak writing tbh. It can only either be Henry's subconscious delivering up that dream which seems unlikely, or their actual ghosts, which doesn't really fit with anything else.

Because for a story to be well told, things that happen within it have to make sense in that universe. Throwing in 'weird random visions' that come out of nowhere is pretty piss poor writing.
