I think it is doomed to failure, but crack on if you want to. Especially since now you I can be late for the conversation twice. It doesn't matter how many times you have the thread, the thread will always die two hours after the post goes up, the post time is the critical factor.

"Two hours after ..." I definitely haven't found that. Some of the livelier threads in the past three weeks were still going the next day, in my time zone.

I think the real question is if said threads were lively with reasonable discussion or wank.

If you mean a thread dies two hours after the next day’s post goes up, then you’re not wrong. But if you mean a thread dies two hours after *it* goes up, then that’s not true at all. I
The thread has barely started getting momentum after two hours, it usually takes until many more hours for it to really start taking off.
