Re: tiny frustrations

Early 30s crowd here but I have been drawing (badly) for a while. Turns out I can't do it for as long as I did as a kid not because of my neck, but because of my wrist. It's my current drawing tablet's fault - the surface is too small so my wrist falls off, also the pen feels too thin (Wacom was a mistake).

Honestly I believe your issue could be ergonomics-related as well. Growing up (when I used to draw ... more often) I had an used president chair and it was something else. My current chair is an average gaming chair, and it's not the worst but for some reason (maybe my height lol) it forces my neck to bend forward so I have been in pain (good thing I don't actually game that much). Drawing tends to absorb us so it's going to strain your body unless you're fully comfortable. Do check if your chair is appropriate, height- and width-wise.

As a sidenote, may I ask what's the course? Just today I saw someone post on Twitter what they learned in 1 year and I was impressed, in a "I have been drawing for decades yet can't do this" way. This left me wondering if they have great resources or I am the untalented bitch (strongly leaning towards 2 though)
