It's a matter of personal taste really and it's okay for queer people to disagree with each other. We need more space for that and not act like every disagreement has someone who's objectively right and someone who's objectively wrong, because in matters of art and creativity that's often not true.

GFM is kind of an edgy person who mostly only likes horror and dark crime fiction. Which is fine, there's room for that. But if you like horror, her novel Manhunt is really really good. I don't have to agree with everything she says (I certainly don't) to enjoy her work when she's at her best.
