Mostly here to object to your idea of his range. He does a lot of broody roles, but he's got a shitton of range, which is different. He and Catherine Tate were so fucking good in Much Ado about Nothing. They really made the abrupt tone switch in Act IV work, even though they were going all out in the previous acts comedically.
