People shouldn't need to operate heavy machinery that can easily become deadly to have a job.

You don't have to. I haven't owned a car in more than ten years. BUT you also can't live in a place where a car is necessary to get around and then complain that you're expected to have a car to be able to get around. There are plenty of places out there where a car is in fact not necessary to be able to get a job.

NA

Ehhh, that assumes they have the means to go somewhere where a car isn't necessary. I'd say in most of the US, you absolutely do need a car. The US is very much a country built around people driving cars.

You need money to move. To get money, you either have to be lucky enough to have a family that finances your move, or you need a job. If you're in a place where you need a car to get a job and you can't drive, you can't make money. So you can't move to a place where a car isn't necessary either.

You make it sound as if living in a place where you need a car is a choice. I think that's true for only a small amount of people.
