Out of curiosity, did you see the FDA link posted earlier?

You ARE aware that the FDA is American and by "where I live" I mean "somewhere else" right? Really, I don't even know what/who Young Living is.

In short, no, but I don't care? I am only speaking "pro" essential oils because I like them personally and don't think it's fair to treat it (or anything that falls victim of scams) as "MLM shit" as if it didn't exist for centuries prior to that. Anything beyond that is not in my scope of knowledge or interest death to pyramid schemes obviously and all that

I mentioned the FDA letter mostly because it includes examples of posts that instruct people to swallow the oils. In that case, the nationality of the poster is a secondary matter. The main focus should be on the fact that anyone in any country advocated for oral ingestion of essential oils. Given how patchy the sourcing of oils is these days, that to me sounds like a crapshoot.

Oh. Frankly I never did my research on it. Anedoctally I have never tried it and don't see why I would.

Nobody who uses essential oils for anything other than basic aromatherapy is going to find the FDA or science particularly persuasive. Anecdotal evidence and "natural approaches" mean more to some people, combined with a deep distrust of science/medicine that convinces them that no matter what, they're right.

The link is not meant to be persuasive. It is meant to provide examples of people being instructed to ingest these oils by mouth. If you want to diffuse oils; put them on your skin; or inhale them, that's one thing. Swallowing them should be a no go even for people who support aromatherapy.

Your quotation marks deeply annoy me taking into account that as I have already explained, and will for the third time, that I am not American and shouldn't be expected to know the adequate English words for EVERYTHING IN THE WORLD.

Seriously I am trying to not pick a fight over dumb crap (if you want to know about science on essential oils just check Google Scholar, it's not that hard - "essential oil" and "aromatherapy" are NOT antonyms of "science", because there IS scientific research on their effects) but this is just you being an asshole.

Sure, okay. Nothing I said criticized your English even a tiny bit, though.

Fuck off.

And yet, you're trying to pick a fight over something no one said?

I just think they smell nice, I don't even use them for aromatherapy (which I don't believe in)
