Kinda sorta related, at least as far as the fandom goes, I'm putting it out there into the universe that Hades is a great fandom for incest and I would absolutely be tickled pink if Zagreus/Melinoë becomes a thing. I hope it does. I would LOVE for it to become a thing and will unabashedly hunt for any all related fanart and fanfic if and when it becomes a thing.

I approve of this. I'm more excited to see platonic cute things with Zagreus being a big brother, but I'm NOT looking forward to those works overlapping with creators who make a big thing about how they're writing the characters the CORRECT, HEALTHY WAY and you nasty toxic incest shippers are not welcome to enjoy it.

It's been bugging me too. Not enough to block tags, because I want to see the fanart... but some of the reactions to the announcement made me feel irritation. I don't even know why, completely? The phrase "the bisexuals are winning" got said a lot and it bothers me. The implication that if someone is bi and attracted to Zag, they'd also be attracted to Mel, or vice versa, bothers me. Maybe one isn't their type? But on the other hand, I know it's mostly just a thing people say to express excitement, and I shouldn't be looking into its implications that seriously.

I mean, they attract different types of bisexuals, and I think it's safe to say that Melinoe will also probably be bi if she has any romance. So in that sense, yeah, bis are winning. Not about being attracted to both lmao

I loved Hades and engaging with the fandom is the reason why now I'm saying that in past tense. To this day I can't put my finger why I don't like them though.
