I would say there is if the "warning" is exactly as above and doesn't provide anyone with the information they need in order to know whether the fic is safe for them to read

Well yeah, but that’s a completely different situation that has no bearing on what I said. I said that there’s nothing wrong with telling people to stay safe while reading your fic. Not that saying that is the only warning you need. Obviously it’s not good if someone doesn’t give an actual warning, but acts like they did with the cute example Secret OP gave. But someone can give a comprehensive warning that lets people know what to expect, and also tell them to stay safe. It’s not an either or situation.

That came off rudely, and I apologize for that. That wasn’t my intention, but I should have payed more attention to my tone and wording, regardless of what I meant.
