There is, but I've forgotten all the details. Just a vague impression that the post I saw on my dash could definitely be read as having come from an insensitive perspective, but wasn't bad enough to make me want to block immediately.

I think anime discourse has melted people's brains. Folks are so used to other folks saying "lolis in anime are bad, and that's representative of flaws in Japanese culture" that when Bogleech said "lolis in anime are bad, but that's just some anime creators being weird, not a flaw in Japanese culture," people immediately jumped to thinking he was criticizing Japanese culture. (He didn't help himself by jumping onto a bunch of barely-related anime posts to argue about it.)

Uh yeah. I don't know the fandom, or even much about Japanese culture. But "Loli isn't representative of the whole culture" seems like the NOT-Racist POV.

Isn't it like the same three or four people that keep trying to cancel him? He's mentioned it before that he's been stalked for years online by a handful of individuals posting from multiple accounts. And yeah, Bogleech can be kinda annoying in the sense that he has an opinion on anything and everything but nothing he's ever said has dinged as 'evil'. He's just very chatty in general, often thinking aloud to himself on his blog.

I still remember him giving me a huffy post when I disagreed with his dieting post, before immediately deleting it. Absolutely annoying. Do I think he's racist though? No.
