I've only watched up to mid-season 3, but, um, confession? I actually enjoyed Justin/Ethan (before Ethan turned out to be an asshole) more than I enjoyed Brian/Justin. It's just, IDK, it sometimes makes me feel uncomfortable that Justin's so young, you know? To make a really odd comparison, I felt the same way when I read 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower'. It's just an emotional squick I have, and it doesn't let me really get into Brian/Justin.

I also really liked Emmett and Ben--they're the main reason I might finish watching the show one day.

For me personally, it's Justin. I can't stand him. I think that I'd maybe like him more if he was played by a different actor, but then again, maybe not.

Ugh that show has soooo many issues that so many people I know are willing to ignore because lol gay sex omg so hawt. At least with the standard "everyone's straight no gays exist la la la" kind of shows, I don't have to deal with people pretending there's anything progressive about it.

I LOVE Queer As Folk, but I don't like Brian/Justin myself, mostly because I despise Justin. I don't know what it is about the kid that makes me hate him so much, but I only had a handful of moments in which I really liked him. I guess it was because he always seemed extremely wangsty to me most of the time. Plus, I thought he was a bad actor.

My OTP will always be Brian/Mikey, even though they never went that far and their relationship is sort of twisted in a way. Still, I will always love those two together. Always.

(And Hunter is one of my favorite characters. Seriously, when he was rejected by that one girl - Callie, I think her name was? - and was crying that no one would ever love him, I wanted to bawl.

I liked the show, but I despised that pairing. Mostly because I could never see B becoming so invested in a manipulative yet somehow so easily manipulated, angsty teenager.

I liked B/Mikey too. But I also liked Ben. Emmett was by far the only character I actually loved from beginning to end, though.

I'm sorta surprised by all the people saying they prefer Brian/Mikey.

I mean, Justin's hardly the world's most riviting character (though I don't particularly dislike him), but did no one else out there find Michael really whiney, dull, and annoying? And Ben sort of bland?

Honestly, I always found Brian's most interesting relationship to be the one he had with Lindsey. And Emmett by far the most sympathetic character.

Michael could be whiny sometimes, but I usually agreed with him whenever he was calling somebody on their behavior, if not HOW he was calling them on it. Besides - a lifelong, loving best friendship with an undercurrent of unresolved sexual tension? What's not to ship?

Ben was sort of bland. I liked him OK, but in many ways I found him to be a bad match for Michael. I think Michael lost some of his identity around him.

While I liked the Lindsey-Brian friendship, her clear (to me) desire to have a romantic/sexual relationship with Brian turned me off.

Emmett is love.
