I love horror movies and I'm actually the exact opposite of you.
I LOVE when there's a bad ending in the movies. I find THAT cathartic. I always find it shallow (IT ISN'T but I personally feel like it is) when there is a clearly cut happy ending and I rejoice when character I love die, preferably at the end.
IDK we are all different and take comfort in different things, I suppose.

There are a lot of horror movie with the "Final Girl" trope. Do you enjoy movies like that? Or do you have other specific tropes or movies in mind?
