I got a treadmill on sale for $900. I needed one that would support a lot of weight, which unfortunately is only the high end ones. It folds up for storage, so it only takes about 4 square feet when not in use. I keep it in the corner of my bedroom and fold it down when I walk. For reference, my apartment is 1010 sqft 2b2ba.

I have a friend who got one of the cheaper ones for $300 mostly because she lives in a VERY small apartment and it folds down for storage, and it was very jerky in it's movements so she stopped using it and either goes outside for a walk or just doesn't walk. Her apartment is around 450 sqft 1b1ba.

Yeah that's what I'm worried about, that if I go for space/economy too much I'll basically get what I pay for, but at the same time I can't really afford the high end ones at the moment. Maybe I should just keep saving! What brand was yours?

I have a Sole. I basically did a lot of research as to which treadmills were the most durable, and then chose among them for my dealbreaker features.

Pro-tip! Don't be me! If you get a high-end treadmill, pay for the expert set up. Otherwise they will leave it in front of your house, and it's up to you to get a HEAVY ASS box into the right spot and put the treadmill together yourself. We managed, but omg I wish I had just paid them to do it for me.

Haha, excellent advice, thank you!
