having just finished it (I won't spoil but warn for spoilers in any replies) please explain to me how it's bad. I didn't find it bad at all. the first three episodes were shaky but they sure made up for it. I didn't hate it. how is it bad?

I haven't encountered that fanon Levi before! My area of fandom has fanon Levi (generally) as a hard ass who went through a lot of shit (depending if it's an AU, it can range from him still secretly supporting his mother who has addiction issues to really anything else that has him escaping poverty and a rough life coming up) and has come up in life and is now financially secure, successful, hard working, etc.

I'm sorry you keep running into this version of him; there are times when I have to step away from a fic or book because it feels too close to home and it makes me feel some kind of way. Whether you tell an author or not, at least you've voiced it here. And I think there's a lot to be said within the show about classism.
