I thought it was the weakest of all last year's MCU productions. It just didn't hang together for some reason, maybe I just missed Chadwick Boseman too much.

I didn't even watch it. Ten years of Marvel fandom burned me out.

Not interested in any of the new series on D+, either.

I guess I'd make room for another Thor movie, but the end of Infinity War kinda capped it for me.

I noped out when I realized they were never going to keep any of the character progress from movie to movie. The characters would change depending on what the plot needed, which is not how you tell serial stories.

It is how the MCU works, though...

Yeah, same. I would be ok with stand alone movies, but they are trying to be series, but with any character progress like an ultimate sitcom

That’s what killed MCU for me. We watched them all and then I think it was Age of Ultron maybe where we like, this is pretty much the same movie as the first Avengers and everyone is exactly the same as they were at the start of that movie. I read the plot line of the next one (I think it was Civil War?) and that didn’t seem like it was bay different so we’ve never bothered with any of them since.

Agreed, but then, I've managed to avoid seeing most Marvel movies. I'm just not into most of the superheroes. Both Black Panthers were great but they felt like stand-alone movies that neither needed to connect to the others, nor needed them to connect to BP.

It kind of saddens me how little I care about Marvel movies nowadays. I use to lose my mind with excitement back in the 2000s whenever a marvel movie came out (yes even for Daredevil and Fantastic Four - yes they were trash, but fun trash I genuinely enjoyed watching); but yeah you said it - 'MCU fatigue'.
It's not just the vast amount of movies being released in a small amount of time - but how bad they've been or at best how 'meh' I felt about them. Even the ones I've enjoyed, I've rarely felt inclined to rewatch it (the exception being Deadpool and Venom in recent years, because they made me laugh idk). I think its also disappointment since I've had friends who had gone 'no really its good this time' only for it to be...ok. I think the last one I pushed myself to watch was the third spiderman with Tom Holland because how everyone I know had hyped it up; and although it was nice to see references to the 2000s Spiderman cast along with Garfield - it was a stupid storyline.

So I've been putting off watching them, like the last Dr Strange movie which was another one my friends had promised was really good and the Wakanda Forever movie which I really did want to watch but I don't think I can be bothered to go actually see it. I feel a bit of a grouch for feeling like this but yeah.

I feel you.
I've watched third Spiderman because everyone were gushing and I wanted to see Garfield.
Well. I've got to say. The only saving grace is that I've pirated it because I don't believe all the praise no more. It was smart choice. Such a stupid movie omg

I actually kinda like this phase of MCU movies, simply because they can't just use the main lineup characters anymore. They have to use lesser knowns like Riri Williams and Shang-Chi, since Cap and Iron Man and the like aren't staying the leads forever. It's wobbly, but creative in its own way.

Captain America is still there, he had a D+ show last year and is on the movie slate. In any case, you gotta remember that prior to RDJ taking the role that Iron Man wasn't even a c-lister when the first movie came out. Prior to that it was Spider-Man, Hulk, Blade, and the Punisher who were seen as Marvel's big tv and movie stars. They only used Iron Man because they didn't have the rights to use their big names.

Cheap Replacement Cap had a D+ show.
