Unattractive woman is suddenly attractive because she no longer wears glasses... As a glasses-wearing woman, this annoys me a lot.

Yeah, for once, it'd be nice if the make-over (if one has to have it at all) would include the girl being given NICER FRAMES as part of the package. As in, after the hair-person and the clothes person, they get sent to the optician who's all "Giiiiiiiirl, those look uncomfortable - let's upgrade you to a higher-index lens, slap some anti-reflective coating.... find you a shape that flatters your face and colouring,.... Ooooh, sunglasses!!" and instead of just "toss the glasses, get contacts," we could get a whole lovely "choosing frames" montage.
