Not OP but he's an unfunny prick. He also has a lot of like, anti-woke anti-cancel culture opinions. But just in general, he is not that funny, he is very loud, he thinks he's the funniest and smartest human being in history, and most of his humor resolves around being very loudly and aggressively annoying and then acting like this makes him cleverer than his audience.

Not OP, but he just really, really wants to tell gay jokes and ethnic jokes and is really pissy about how most people don't think they're all that funny anymore.

Yes I have also always despised Gervais. I still watched the movie but it would have been so much better with Matt Berry instead!

I like Muppets Most Wanted but if you cut him out from it and didn’t replace him nothing would be lost except one musical number.

I can't stand him or his awkward humor. I think the only thing I ever liked him in was the series Extra - and that was years ago since I last saw it so I doubt its aged well now. Every other thing I've seen Gervais in, he's always seemed to have stood out like a sore thumb - and I'm still mad at whoever thought it was a good idea to include him in the movie Stardust.

The more Ricky Gervais shows what kind of person he is, the more I realise that it was Stephen Merchant who was the genius behind the original office and Extras (both of which I love)
