There's a writer in one of my fandoms who writes good porno, but for some reason all the dialogue is in German. Like, the prose part of the fic is in English, but whenever the characters speak it's in German. Which is immediately translated in parenthesis. The canon is a fantasy world with no Germany or any other Earth countries and everyone speaks the same language. And no, these stories aren't AU's taking place in moden world either.
This weird language shifting just throws me out of the story and kills my boner.
