The "takes Manhattan" phrasing is from Leonard Cohen "First We Take Manhattan"! A great song. But I think he would appreciate how it's been used by horror and by muppets.

My brain always wants to put "Takes Manhattan" in the same category as "Does Dallas" in a movie title.
