I watched ten minutes of the original series. I'm sorry, I lol'd the entire time. So I'll feel like a hypocrite, but I'm going to see it. Forgive me, loyal fans. It just looks so good.

Shatner's overacting + old special effects + a variety of smaller aspects = pretty hilarious. Believe me, I've laughed my way through several episodes.

He's more cute than he is enticing. We have Kirk and Spock and Bones and... you know, everyone else, for that. XD

I'm amused as hell to see that Karl Urban is in this movie - I remember him from Xena (yes, I'm a geek, but in a non-Trekkie way). But JFC, Simon Pegg is in it and no one told me?? And as Scotty?

I love ToS, but I lol all the way through as well.

Did you know that a red short is less likely to die if Kirk has a love interest? See, that's why he was getting it on with any female to walk past him, he couldn't afford to lose any more crew members.

I know! I feel kind of guilty, because when I was about six and I watched TOS I was like OMG THIS IS TA AWESOME! And now I watch it, and I sporfle at the overacting and the hokey effects (though the writing is stil amazing on some eps), and I feel like I'm betraying my childhood. 'Cause it's not that I don't still love it, but I feel like I love it for the wrong reasons now.
