It's pretty frustrating when a good or great writer goes someplace you don't want to follow. I mean, you can try, but I've found, for myself, that if I can't even tangentially connect with the canon, reading the fic, however well-written, just isn't that satisfying.

Soooooooo many people I followed for a certain fandom now write for C-Dramas, and I am just not interested.

Occasionally they'll write for *old fandom* so I don't unsubscribe, but those email updates can be very disappointing.

Yup. I have a ton of alerts coming into my email all week, for stuff I've never watched and have no interest in. I only followed the author because they wrote something amazing or interesting in a fandom I like, and now it's just always a disappointment to get the alert. I should unsubscribe, I guess....
