Eh, I don't like shooting people IRL but I like open firing on all and sundry in vidya games. What games mechanics are fun virtually have very little to do with their real life counterparts (otherwise Overcooked would have kicked off an understaffed fat food restaurant boom, lol).

I don't like Honest Trailers that much because for me it falls into the overly critical and nitpicky for the sake of being nitpicky side of fandom that I find relentlessly negative.

Anyway, the plot with the merpeople was kind of underdone but in general BP2 was pretty damn good. Reminded me of why I liked these big stupid movies so much after a slew of mediocre instalments (looking at you, Thor 4).

A friend kept recommending me Harry Harrison books in high school but I found them unreadable. Should I try again? In terms of SFF humour I've liked Discworld and the Red Dwarf books.

Great Expectations is the only Dickens book I've read and yet I still get Pip's storyline confused with Oliver Twist's. Does Pip even do anything??? Miss Havisham is definitely the only memorable thing about it (but she is very memorable, so I'll allow it to be a classic lol).

I agree with this. Although there are a couple others of his I don't love, this is definitely my least favorite. The characters were all super unlikable, and not in an interesting way.

Honestly, I just lost interest in the general show. Sideshow Bob and Halloween episodes still make me smile. But the rest of the show just doesn't appeal to me anymore.

we planned to see Wakanda Forever anyway so we waited until after to watch HT and Pitch Meeting's takes. HT was the worst take. PM at least tried and basically admitted that there wasn't much to criticise.

full stop agreed tho, Thor 4 sucked and Wakanda was fantastic A+ will buy the dvd.

Fair enough.

I was never a diehard fan but I did watch heaps of it as a kid. I feel like I'm in a place where I shouldn't seek it out, but if an older episode was on TV I'd probably watch it, but if a new one was on I'd probably switch off.

Of course, I never watch on air TV anymore so the chances of that are slim to none...

Honestly, I would have called Oliver Kleenex before I said that of Pip. Oliver’s thing is supposed to be that he walks among evil but isn’t corrupted by it, so he ends up not having much of a personality in any direction.

Also, Magwitch is in Great Expectations, and he’s an okay character who deserved better than Dickens gave him.

where is this mythical land of half price chocolate?? I was in the grocery today to grab something I forgot for my recipe and the Valentine's shelf was COMPLETELY EMPTY. except for a couple bags of M&Ms. that was it. there was no chocolate to mark down, and I doubt it was because it all sold - the boxes and tags were already gone so the store had already gone through and culled everything.

I have *never* seen reduced-price seasonal candy anywhere except Joann Fabrics, and I wouldn't eat the fresh candy there let alone leftover holiday candy.

Geez, I don't know if it's just retailers here but I rarely get lucky and find 50% off chocolate. Either the stores drag out the discounts for ages (10% off, 20% off, 30% off for WEEKS) or I go and all the candy is straight up gone. Good luck with your discount chocolate shopping, everyone!
