I'm a casual Tswift fan and while I think your criticisms are valid, I haven't actually seen one of her fans try to say her writing represents the universal female experience... I guess possibly some might have in reaction to the more popular criticism of her writing about her break ups too much? But I haven't seen it.

Personally, I think she's done questionable things and I don't necessarily think she's a great person, but I like the way she's very much in control of her career, and damn, the girl can write a bop. I hope one day she does write something more universally relevant than her love life, because it could be huge.

I'd say that song was Anti Hero. At least it was the first song of hers that I super related to.

Agreed that Anti-Hero is fantastic. I just think it might be too idiosyncratic/ navel gazing to win over that many more people than her usual fanbase (which, admittedly, is already huge so it doesn't matter that much).
