Half of me went "go you" but another half went "if as an ace I only do m/m and f/f am I Heterophobe (lol) or just unable to see myself in a f/f relationship? Is this some sort of internalized homophobia?" and now I am Wondering.

For me (cis!female ace with a wife), I find that any m/f or f/f makes me more easily identify with (one of) the female character and I automatically start thinking of how the situation is actually horrible in real life for this and that reason and all the misogyny in the real world comes to the fore. I'm here to relax... So I stick to m/m.

AYRT - honestly I gave it some thought and suppose it’s because in the types of media I enjoy misogyny is a thing in m/f but not m/m (sometimes there are no women around even!) or f/f. Although some works still manage to reek of sexism anyway so I avoid those like the plague.
