If you could have any cosmetic procedure(s) done for free, would you?

(Anonymous) 2023-02-17 02:46 am (UTC)(link)
And if so, what would you have done?

Hmmm. If I could do two together, it would be getting rid of stomach fat and then skin tucking. But wouldn't do the first without the second because that would just look awful.

For a single one, breast reduction. I hate my huge breasts, they are often painful and always difficult to deal with.

And would I? I go back and forth honestly. I may end up doing the breast reduction someday. I honestly think it might help some of my back issues.

Ugh, my terrible posture and strained back muscles definitely wouldn't be such an issue if I wasn't lugging around giant saggy weights 24/7. But unfortunately mine aren't big enough (at DD) to "require" surgical intervention.

Ooo, does that count as cosmetic surgery? I've actually got some. I stopped because I couldn't afford it anymore, but I'm thinking of starting again.

Yes, itchy. Also I hate shaving, but I like wearing dresses sometimes and with the job I have showing hairy legs isn't really an option. Also, while my head hair is brown, my other hair is black. And the facial hair drives me crazy. When I don't shave it I almost have a beard.

I get a full on goatee in about three days. I would leave it, because fuck gender norms, but IT ITCHESSSSSSSS.

I don't mind the leg hair except that I'm an attorney and don't want to hurt my client's case. But I honestly hate my facial hair. I hate the way it looks. Plus the hair is black and thick and itchy. So I shave my face every couple of days. But I am thinking about restarting lazer soon.

OMG the freaking chin hairs. If I don't shave I'd look like Shaggy on Scooby Doo.

Breast reduction, all the way.
These boobs are huge and they hurt my back and neck lol
I'd probably immediately do the procedure now if I were not so scared of doctors and surgeries.

...I sometimes wish I had the courage of doing a complete mastectomy. Maybe one day who knows.

There is a bruise I would like to remove. But only if there aren't great risks.

Oooo, nice. I'd love my brain put in Michelle Rodriguez. Attractive and physically fit. Would be nice.

Hahaha, legitimately a very reasonable thing to want. I tried to think of who I'd pick to have my brain put in the body of, but I couldn't choose. Maybe Christie Turlington circa the early 90's.

Things I would definitely get done if I could afford it:

-Periodical laser treatments.
-Periodical botox in forehead and between eyebrows.

Things I might get done if I could afford it:

-Cool-sculpting of my lower torso/high hip area.
-Maybe botox in overactive chin, neck, and masseter muscles.
-A tiny bit of filler in my under-eye area.

Probably something minor like laser hair removal or something for my acne scars.

But then again I might also consider a gastric bypass or some other weight loss surgery.

Hair removal!!!

No more epilating, waxing, shaving! Arms, underarms, legs, bikini line! Let's go!

My hair, while ample, is so fine and light that I'll go out in shorts having not shaved in months. But underarms and bikini are a bitch, so yeah, I'd definitely like laser removal for those areas.

Sadly yeah.
I have an awful buffalo hump, mostly thanks to genetics and it affects my health. But I do afraid of surgery even this minor one.
Everyone writes about laser hair removal. I actually done it for some hairs on my face and it was meh. Maybe I've got not the best master. And you are supposed to do it several time. But they have missed quite a few. But I want to try again I think

Probably botox here or there. I don't think I would go under the knife or anything.

stomach fat, thigh fat, butt tuck

Boob lift and tummy tuck, because age. The menopausal gut is real, guys. If you're younger, be warned, because it comin'. I never had weight in one spot that was so hard to get rid of before this.

And I'd get a botox brow lift. My brows are looking droopy.

And I'm getting a little jowly.

So a shitload, I guess!

Re: If you could have any cosmetic procedure(s) done for free, would you?

Laser hair removal. Bye bye boob hair, I would cry for joy to never get ingrown hair puss volcanoes around my nipples ever again. No more shaving or waxing to wear non-turtleneck tops.

And while my leg hair and constantly burgeoning mustache and goatee aren't as scary (less chance of thinking ingrown hair cysts=cancer) they annoy the shit out of me.

Tbh I'd love if the only noticeable hair on my body was eyelashes, eyebrows, scalp, pubes, and underarms. I have a fucking forest of ass hair, a full on happy trail, scattered belly and back hair, and a couple "I hope they're non-cancerous cysts" on my arms and thighs that are most likely more ingrown hairs.

I'd say liposuction or liposculpture or something, because I'm also fat, but afaik the only thing that keeps fat off when you've lost it (whether through calorie restriction, exercise, or surgery) is the kind of restrictive diet that would make me miserable and bonkers.

I already don't eat meat, drink anything but water and herb tea, or smoke, plus I walk ~18,000 steps/7 miles a day, and I'm still fat. Idek how many times I could get liposuction without compromising the integrity of my abdominal wall, but I would bet money I'd be fat again within a year.

Might be worth it if my doctor shut up about my weight long enough to do a check up that didn't treat weight loss like a panacea, though.

Does lasik count as cosmetic? My eyesight sucks. Tattooed on eyeliner and lipliner/lip color would be nice; I hardly ever wear makeup, but mostly because I'm lazy and clumsy.

I'm 40 this year so the ship has sailed on wrinkles and I think the obsession with avoiding them is kind of creepy. Most of my family died in their 40s-early 60s so I'll be glad if I make it to "90 year old prune."

But if I could I'd just give myself a whole new body, and not just for cosmetic reasons. No more migraines or days of random muscle and joint pain for me.

I'd buy fat being the problem if it was knee pain but, I'm sorry, my forearms don't weigh enough to make my elbows or wrists hurt.

If I could only pick one, it'd be a breast reduction. I'm 4'11" and an E-cup, and I swear it's the cause of at least half of my back and shoulder pain. My doctors agree that I need one too, but alas, I'm on Medicaid and they sure as fuck aren't gonna cover it. Eh, a girl can dream.

If I can pick more than one, I kinda want elf ears, too.

My insecurity check is telling me not to get too much into this. I will go with the most fucking basic ones.

Lasik eye procedure at last! No more glasses! No more contacts so I can wear non-prescription sunglasses/3D glasses at the movies! No more dry eyes from contacts!!

All the dental work needed for healthy, mostly straight-ish (I think a bit of my crooked teeth gives my face charm 😊), non-stained teeth!
