Something I find sketchy with certain true crime shows/podcasts is how some will go into details on the background and psychology of murderers, especially serial killers and the male serial killers usually get this "cool motive, still murder" treatment whereas female murderers get treated much more sympathetically. Their murders sometimes get portrayed as much less terrible because of the killer's trauma and get talked about in an almost gleeful way. Skeevy.
