Sandman fan who was asking for fic recs

Hey, I never got around to answering your request for Sandman fic recs, but I remember you said you'd burnt out on the fandom fast for a)ignoring comics canon and b) getting historical stuff wrong.

I've read the whole comics run, including stuff like Overture and Endless Nights, although it's been awhile, but I'm not a history major.

But if you let me know what fics you've already enjoyed or bounced off, and why, maybe I can find some good fic recs for you? Or another FSer might?

I am not history major either, just some things can get too frustrating for me. Like today's fire anon. Just some common sense.
I've started to try and remember fics I liked the most and apparently fics in my language were my favorite. Interesting. I wonder why it is that.
I am a bit lazy to research right and I don't keep bookmarks. But my favorite fics are the ones that combine TV canon and comics canon.
