It’s been years since I’ve seen YYH, but did Sensui get a redemption arc? I thought he just cycled through all his personalities to fight Yusuke and then died in the demon world after it was revealed that he was terminally ill all along.

DA. Sensui didn't really get a redemption arc. We got a whole lot of 'humans are EVIIIIIIL and torturing demons and Enma was glossing over it' and Sensui found out and went batshit. I guess that was supposed to explain his actions? But I wouldn't say it was a redemption of any kind. He just got the tar beaten out of him and then his boyfriend fucked off with him so he could die in peace.

Yeah, pretty much. It's the way the narrative played out at the last minute of his arc that bugged me, what with Yusuke and the others essentially forgiving him because Shonen Logic - oh, and surprise, he was terminally ill on top of being mentally ill. Sensui revealing he merely wanted someone to kill him to absolve himself of his sins or whatever in relation to him having slaughtered demons in the past was just... it didn't feel right. He caused a lot of trouble just for that. Maybe it was the speed of which all this was revealed that annoys me, I'm not rightly sure. It just didn't feel right to have a homicidal maniac peace out like he did. *shrugs*
