I guess I could see giving it a piece of an outline for a part of a fic where you were stuck on, maybe, how to write a scene you were bored by but can't figure out how to ditch entirely without leaving big plot holes, if only to look at the result and go "ffs, I can do better than that!"

But idk, I only write for fun and stop when it's not, and rarely even post my fic anywhere, so if I write myself into a corner or get bored I just set the fic aside and go do something else for awhile.

And it's not like, idk, a sewing or even an embroidery machine where yeah it'd be more impressive if you did it by hand, but there's still a creative element in the design itself and/or what you make with it.

It's more like the difference between a homemade multi course meal vs one of those microwave tv dinners with a soggy entree and some gluey mashed potatoes and limp green beans on the side.

Especially since the audience for pro fic includes lots of people that don't write, but I feel like with fanfic the writer:reader ratio is closer to 1:1, so more of your audience may notice something off even if you don't announce that your writing partner is a chatbot.

It's definitely a little like trying to pass off your HelloFresh end product as a home-cooked meal...
