It really is best to keep him indoors. I feel you though, we took in a feral and we don’t have the option to keep her inside 100% of the time. It took us a few months but we managed to ruin going out for her LOL Basically we just ignored even her most destructive behavior when we didn’t let her out and then we’d let her out but keep near her and interfere in any hunts. It was a coordinated effort and we got neighbors in on helping us. It worked though and she only goes out occasionally now and she’s supervised. We haven’t been able to get her to wear a harness so she isn’t leashed but she stays close to home rarely even tries to hunt anymore. Usually one of us are out there with her still but I confess not always. She lived free on this street for years before we moved in and we just have to trust her to keep watch for herself like she always did. Keeping her inside leads to a lot of destruction and everyone is miserable.
