His work kinda seems at odds with itself sometimes. The pressures of social media performance, the detached ironic comedy and the wish to express sincerity. Some of his comics have been about that to me, trying to find a balance in his work. Some comics land better than others for sure. Sometimes it can come across like he's not sure how to execute a punchline or is a little nervous about what he's trying to say but other comics are very expressive and funny.
