nah everything he does is fine

(Anonymous) 2023-04-02 08:20 pm (UTC)(link)
it's really nice that they created a totally non-problematic main character for everyone to root for and use as a role model

remember guys, dating someone two months younger than you makes you a pedophile, but cannibalism is always morally correct!

(Anonymous) 2023-04-02 09:00 pm (UTC)(link)
He's now my newest unproblematic fave.

(Anonymous) 2023-04-03 01:00 am (UTC)(link)
I used to think cannibalism was wrong like a normal person, but Hannibal made me realize that it's totally fine. Thanks to him, I now also enjoy killing people and eating them!

I know this is a troll secret, but... no, it is not crucial to prioritize 'healthy relationships and boundaries' in fiction, especially not in a show like Hannibal. A case might be made for High School Teen Drama #246, aimed specifically at the Impressionable Youths, but if you're old enough to watch a show about fucking cannibalism, you're old enough to know the difference between fiction and reality.

I've managed to evacuate my family out of Thomas Harris novels, I recommend you do the same.

(LoL Troll, but also I've seen this so often I assume some of y'all must be sincere.)

I guess this is how F!S dies. Due to trolls spamming their boring secrets.

Excuse me are you telling me that the relationships between hannibal lector, renowned psychologist, and his future dinner guests are problematic? Now that CAN’T be right, I’ve heard his dinner parties are full of sparkling conversation and delicious food! In fact I think it would be a great idea if you attended the next one and joined him for dinner, just to see what it’s like.

It sounds like maybe your parents didn't explain the difference between fiction and reality to you as a kid.

(Anonymous) 2023-04-02 09:16 pm (UTC)(link)
lololol, thanks for the trolling OP, sad that it just missed april fools though xD

(Anonymous) 2023-04-02 09:36 pm (UTC)(link)
But... sometimes I just really want to eat somebody. Fava beans and a nice Chianti optional!

And I think it is important to remember that fiction is fiction and has nothing to do with reality. People enjoying a fictional villain doesn't mean they'd enjoy a real life person like that. It just means they like the character.

(Anonymous) 2023-04-02 09:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, shut up, you hag.

(Anonymous) 2023-04-02 09:48 pm (UTC)(link)
I read this in Lestat's voice and it's now become one of my most favorite faux-secrets ever.

Isn't there an episode of the IT Crowd where Moss nearly gets eaten by a cannibal because of a misunderstanding in an advert?

(Anonymous) 2023-04-02 09:59 pm (UTC)(link)
2014 called. It wants it's anti-shipping back.

(Anonymous) 2023-04-02 10:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Excuse you OP but as an actual cannibal I use him to explore that side of me in a safe and controlled environment so I don't hurt others, it's catharsis for me, which is clearly something you'd never understand as you've clearly never had the urge to just slice of a bit off a person and eat them. You're horribly lacking in sensitivity and empathy, for shame.

Yeah!

(Anonymous) 2023-04-02 10:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Just stick with romanticizing the fucking vampires!

(Anonymous) 2023-04-02 10:52 pm (UTC)(link)
I have no problem believing that plenty of people out there essentially share this opinion. Hell, when I was twenty I would’ve probably at least half-agreed with this. But the wording here is just way too on-the-nose, sorry; I’m calling troll.
pantswarrior: Gumshoe looks like he's plotting something. (mischievous)

....aaahahhahahahhhahaha

Yes, but the REAL issue here is with his medical ethics.
