Any totally epic April Fool's pranks spotted in the wild?

See any pranks on April Fool's Day?

Any ideas for next year?

Discuss.

Tabasco posted a fake collaboration with Sparkling Ice...and I'm kinda mad that this fake bubbly water will never actually exist.

Laughing at the hissy fit some Lana Del Rey fans threw when their subreddit pretended to turn their sub into a Taylor Swift sub for a day. Some people were BIG MAD. It was hilarious.

There's a Lord of the Rings movie calendar hanging in the kitchen and for April its a picture from Gandalf's "You shall not pass!" scene - and I put a sticky note with a smilie face over the Balrog's head.

So far no one in my family seems to have noticed it.

(Ok not an epic prank, but still writing it here).

The WoW and FF14 subreddits both redirected to each other's page, which was really funny tbh and the users went fully in on the joke and started making posts about events that happened in the games with each other's NPC's. Probably one of the better ones I saw this year.

My favorite wasn't epic, but that's honestly fine because I was in an awful mood due to dead laptop with my fics and art on it. :/

But anyway, there's a Twitter account that posts pics of bunnies hourly or something. Yesterday they started posting pics of SEA bunnies. Which are not bunnies, but they are cute sea creatures that look like bunnies, and apparently they come in more colors than I was previously aware of! So cute pictures continued to be posted by the account known for posting cute pictures, and I learned some stuff.

Not this year, but last year Dominic Noble uploaded a Lost In Translation episode for the book that Tommy Wiseau's The Room was based off of. He fully committed to the bit, and even when he got to the completely insane "twist" in the book that had been omitted from the movie but that actually went a long way to making the story more coherent, I still bought it.

It was only when I checked the comments section that I realized it was April Fools Day, and that the reason I had somehow never heard the The Room was based on a novel was because it...wasn't.

It was a truly magnificent prank, and I will always be delighted (if a tiny bit embarrassed) to have been so utterly taken in by it. XD

A famous YouTuber makes a heartfelt apology.

Way more convincing than those apologies from influencers/streamers who have actually f%#[personal profile] ked up.

We have a yearly event in our town where we walk 10 km in teams and solve challenges at a few stations around the course. This year it was on april 1:st and someone had put up a "wait here" sign in a place where there was no challenge station. Not sure how many fell for it.
