Personally I don't believe it was a joke. There's just nothing in her delivery, at any point, that comes off like she's joking, IMO. But I freely acknowledge I could be wrong. Not like I'm hopping onto public social media platforms to attack her over it.

I found the whole video and especially the "my girl" part extremely cringe, but it's not like this has revealed her to be some horrible monster or something. Honestly, I'm sure I've made worse faux pas than this in my life; I just had the good fortune to not be famous and make them on the internet.
