It just seems like almost all of his companions are girls. :/ Then again, you could pick those one-or-two-episodes guys, I guess? Or OCs?

The Master, in his various bodies. The Brig and the UNIT boys. Male companions like Jamie or Turlough. Who didn't start in 2005, you know.

Depends which Doctor you're talking about. While there have been more female companions, the First, Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth Doctors all had male companions at some point as well. And so did the Eighth Doctor, if you go by the spin-off stuff. And of course, loads of people ship Doctor/Master (well, we know they have an Epic History of some sort...).

I've not really watched much up until the Seventh Doctor, to be honest. *Is a bad DW fan*

Turlough and Jamie, for two. And that happened even before Nu!Who came along.

But Jack would be reason enough. ;-)
