Just adding my voice to the chorus of I'M EXACTLY THE SAME WAY.

The only time I tried dating someone I wasn't friends with before hand it was weird and awkward and I couldn't relax EVER. Which to me is the antithesis of what a relationship SHOULD be.

It's nice to see so many people think the same way. I was wondering if I was weird for wanting to know someone for a while before dating them.

There's so much insecurity and awkwardness dating a stranger, I would imagine. (I'm not too experienced with dating, since the only I've dated thus far was one of my best friends for a year before he even asked, and we dated for a year. ♥) I'm so incredibly awkward around strangers that this... uh, pretty much would be my nightmare D:
